Flash Evaporation
Flash evaporators dispose of up to 150 gallons of wastewater and oil per hour, destroying 98 percent of volatile organic compounds and eliminating air polution in the process. The liquid portion of wastewater is eliminated, leaving you with easy-to-dispose dry ash. |
|
| Benefits |
- Reduces waste hauling costs
- Eliminates cradle-to-grave liabilities with on-site remediation
- Destroys 98% of all VOCs
- Handles multiple waste streams, including those with high solvent or oil levels
- Low maintenance and manpower requirements

| How it Works |
|
Flash evaporation completely eliminates the liquid portion of wastewater, reducing it to dry ash. Here's the process: |
- Wastewater is passed through a multi-pass shell and tube heat exchanger.
- The liquid is then atomized and sprayed directly into a natural gas flame burning between 1250 and 1400 degrees Fahrenheit.
- The result is one pound of dry ash for every 500 gallons of process wastewater.
