Scholarship America

The Scholarship America national program has awarded more than $1 billion to more than one million students. Nicor Gas helps students realize their educational aspirations by supporting the Dollars for Scholars program, which is part of Scholarship America. Dollars for Scholars is a network of community-based, volunteer-operated foundations that raise scholarship funds to support local students in their pursuit of higher education. Since 1997, Nicor has granted more than $300,000 to help establish more than 150 Dollars for Scholars chapters in Illinois.

ScholarShop, another Scholarship America program, is a curriculum and resource center for motivating and preparing students in grades 4-12 to achieve their full potential as students and as productive members of society.
